A new mind mapper, a free image editor, teacher training videos & email files straight to your Dropbox.

  • Spicynodes - This is a nice system that lets you create mind maps that your students can use to explore the other content you've uploaded to your VLE or website.

  • Cloud Canvas - A new HTML5 based image editor that integrates with Google docs - worth a look!

Essentials list updated & some more free ipad apps added

Hello!

I've updated the "Essentials" page, removing some old resources that I no longer use and updating it with those that I do.

Team Viewer - This is a great app that lets you control a computer from your ipad.

Pocket MV - Allows you to login to Second Life and communicate with others who are online.

  • Diagram Designer - This is a bit of software that you can download and install onto your computer.

  • Zine Cube | Similar to Wobook, you can embed videos into your books.

  • Answer Garden - Lets you ask students a questions and then turns their answers into a tag cloud. Very nice!

Office 2007 training videos, a new game maker & a nice PDF editor to boot!

  • Construct - This is similar to Game Maker but it's totally free, has a nicer interface and can produce some really great results - well worth a look!

Added to the PDF Tools page:

  • Nitro PDF - This is a great free bit of software that acts like a PDF swiss army knife.
